Overview

Refund & Returns Policy: Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. If more than 30 days have passed, we may not be able to offer you a refund or exchange, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


Consumer Guarantees Under Australian Law

Our goods and services are covered by guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product you purchase is faulty, unsafe, significantly different from its description, or does not perform as expected, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

  • For minor issues, we may offer a repair or replacement.
  • For major failures, you can choose between a refund, replacement, or compensation for any loss suffered.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging (unless it is faulty or does not match the description).
  • You must provide proof of purchase (e.g., receipt, order confirmation email).
  • Custom-made, personalized, or clearance items may not be eligible for return unless they are faulty.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned unless they are faulty or not as described. These include:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers)
  • Intimate or sanitary items (e.g., earrings, face masks)
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
  • Digital/downloadable products
  • Gift cards

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, we will process your refund to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet:

  1. Check your bank account.
  2. Contact your credit card provider, as processing times vary.
  3. Contact your bank, as some refunds take time to clear.

Sale Items & Change of Mind Returns

  • Sale items: If an item was purchased on sale, your rights under the ACL still apply. If the item is faulty, you may still be eligible for a refund or replacement.
  • Change of mind: We do not offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect choice, or if you no longer want the item. Please choose carefully before making a purchase.

Exchanges

We will replace items only if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange, please email us at knotic.creations@gmail.com and we will provide return instructions.


Gifts

  • If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and sent directly to you, we can issue a store credit for the return value.
  • If the item was not marked as a gift, the refund will be processed to the original purchaser.

Malicious Damage & Returns

We do not accept returns if the item has been intentionally or accidentally damaged due to misuse after purchase. If a returned item is found to have been misused, we reserve the right to refuse a refund.

Shipping Costs

  • Customers must cover the return shipping costs, unless the item is faulty or not as described.
  • If returning an item due to our error or a product fault, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

Tracking & Insurance

  • If returning a high-value item, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of the returned item.

Refund & Returns Policy – International Shipping Conditions

We currently ship to select international destinations, including New Zealand, the United States, and the United Kingdom. To help ensure a smooth delivery experience and minimize customs delays or unexpected fees, the following purchase limits and conditions apply:

  • Orders shipped to the U.S. are subject to a de minimis threshold of $800 USD.
  • To remain within this threshold, we have set a purchase limit of $1,200 AUD per order.
  • Orders under this amount typically clear U.S. customs without incurring import duties or taxes.
  • Any duties or import taxes imposed upon delivery are the responsibility of the buyer.

  • Orders under NZD $1,000 are generally exempt from import duties and GST in New Zealand.
  • We recommend a maximum order value of $950 AUD to avoid crossing this threshold.
  • Orders exceeding this value may incur import duties, GST, and processing fees, which are payable by the customer.

  • Orders valued under Β£135 GBP (approx. $250 AUD) are typically not subject to UK customs duties.
  • However, import VAT (usually 20%) may still be charged on all items, regardless of value.
  • To help customers avoid additional customs duties, we have set a purchase limit of $250 AUD for UK orders.
  • Orders over this threshold may be subject to both VAT and customs duty, which are the customer’s responsibility at delivery.

Important Note: We do not collect or prepay customs duties, VAT, or GST for international shipments. All international customers are responsible for any applicable import taxes or clearance fees in their own country. Please check with your local customs office for detailed regulations before placing your order.
